Michael discovered his passion for photography as a 16 year old high school student. His determination landed him at the Brooks Institute of Photography where he studied industrial photography and graduated in 1980. After a short stint assisting other photographers, he had his own studio and was shooting small jobs for ad agencies within six months of graduating. From those humble beginnings in 1981, Michael crafted a career shooting for a multitude of advertising agencies, corporate clients, and graphic designers. Upon retiring from shooting assignments in 2017, Michael maintains his photography and Photoshop skills at a high level by contributing creative content to Getty Images/iStockphoto where he has sold more than 1.5 million image licenses since 2005.
